Matt
OTR/L, CHT
Matthew was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He completed his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Shortly after, he moved to beautiful Arizona where he earned his Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from A.T. Still University, located locally in Mesa.
Since then, Matthew has spent several years working exclusively with upper extremity injuries and impairments. During that time, Matthew worked as the in-house therapist and splint fabricator for several doctors and hand surgeons in Arizona, which has given him direct insight into the post-operative healing and recovery process, as well as helped him develop close relationships with some of the best doctors. He obtained the prestigious Certified Hand Therapist certification in 2023 - a distinction shared by only a few thousand individuals on the entire planet, none of which provide in-home therapy services in Arizona. This certification demonstrates that Matthew has extensive knowledge of upper extremity anatomy and kinesiology, which help him create specific treatment plans to rehabilitate any upper extremity condition. His expertise in hand therapy and the treatment for any type of upper extremity ailment is unmatched to any other organization. Matt is joining the amazing team at Optimal Therapy as an Occupational Therapist! Ready to make a difference and help people achieve their best lives! In his free time, Matthew loves to go hiking, camping, as well as playing sports to stay active. Matthew is a proud husband and loving father to 3 beautiful children.
